The film won the Palme d'Or at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. Then, it was distributed by Cinema Rise and Moviola in Japan.
The film was screened again in Tokyo in 2018.
To commemorate the screening, this version of "Tokyo" T-shirt was printed in Bangkok, Thailand.
